LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
Nelson Creek team to play Marist juniors on Sunday at Nelson Creek is as follows: Williams, Sadler, Mayne, Tobin, Butterworth, Greer, Tibbles, Brownlie, Fisher, Bennett, Fisher, Carey, M. O’Brien; emergency, J. Skinner. BOYS’ CHALLENGE TROPHY. The first game for the challenge trophy presented by Mr H. Moore for competition between boys of 7 st 3 lb and under, will be played on the Recreation Ground, Greymouth, on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock, between teams representing Marist and Runanga Schools. In view of the forthcoming visit of Schoolboys’ team to Christchurch, tp represent the Coast against Canterbury, on September 3rd, for the Norman Cox Memorial Cup, the game should create quite a lot of I interest, and fans would do well to watch the boys in action. Mr W. Ryan will officiate as referee. All fifth grade fixtures are postponed until next week.
