NELSON STARTLED.

By Lightning. HOUSE DAMAGED. (Her Press Assn.) NELSON, July 11A single clap of thunder startled Nelson about eleven o ’cloek yesterday morning. It was accompanied by a lightning flash, v/TiTFli found its billet in the chimney of a house in Shebourne Street, occupied by Mr J. o. Dykes, Manager of the Bank of New Zealand. All the family were at home when the flash occurred. They were suddenly startled by a particularly loud report, followed by a crash hl close quarters.
