LINER AFIRE.
WITH AUSTRALIAN CARGO. (4 rstralian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received June 20 at 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, June 19.. The steamer Essen, bound from Australia to Hamburg, arrived at Amsterdam with a lire burning in her No. .1 bold. Despite the efforts of the Fire Brigade, the outbreak is still raging. It is surmised that the fire started in the copra. Openings were cut in the side of the vessel to allow of the passage of water, but a heavy list prevents flooding.
