(Per Press Assn.) AUCKLAND, June 17. A garage at Papatoetoe, owned by R. W. Hamilton, was destroyed by fire last night, together with three motor trucks. PALMERSTON NORTH. June 17. The fourth day of tho Winter Show weather was fine but cloudy after light rain. The gate takings were over £2OO ahead of last year. WELLINGTON, June 17. The Minister of Health denies the report that tho Otaki sanatorium is to be abandoned, or that the locality is unsuitable. On the contrary, the Department is well satisfied with the climate there, and had recently added 2 > beds to the institution.
