WELLINGTON, April 8. Mr I). C. Bates reports: The present indications are for moderate to strong south-westerly winds, northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and for strong westerly winds, backing to south-westerly, elsewhere. The weather will be changeable, squally and colder generally, with heavy showers, particularly in the western and southern dis tricts. The barometer is unsteady, but is rising everywhere soon.
