ARAHURA EAT STOCK SALE. Alessrs Al. Houston and Co. report. — .’he first sale of the New Year at the Jjove yards was held on Alonday, our ntry consisting of 37 head of fat attle T.here was a good attendance oi >uyers, and prices recorded were very irm for this period of the year, handy weight ox beef averaging about 37/>er hundred, although quite a fair prolortion made fully 40/-, whilst gooJ ow and. heifer beef sold at 30/- per undred. AVe sold as follows: —On ac ount of AV. A. Jamieson 2 cows at 18/17/6, 1 at £9/5/-, 2 at £7/5/-, 1 at 18/2/6, 1 at £B, 1 at £B/12/6, 1 at 6/7/6, 1 at £7/10/-, 2 at £7, 1 at 7/17/6, 1 at 6/17/6, 1 at £5/12/6, 2 at 5/10/-, 1 at- £5/12/6, 2 at £5/10/-. On cocunt of Jas. Donovan, 2 bullocks at 10/5/- 1 at £ll/12/6, 1 at £lO/10/- 2 t £ll/10/- 2 at £lO/5/-, 1 at 4/12/6, 2 bullocks at £ll, 2 at £ll/5/at £lO/15/-, sucker at £5/2/6. On ccount of T. Staines, 5 bullocks at 110/10/-. On account of W. Bond, 1 nil at £3. SYDNEY WOOL MARKET. SYDNEY, Jan. 12. The wool sales to-day showed a ?ood deal of irregularity for wools ■vanting in quality. Dusty and burry wools v’ere also irregular. Comebacks nd crossbreds met with good, compel :ion at the late rates. Greasy Merino, )ld to thirty-two pence per pound.
