COMPENSATION CLAIMS. FARMERS v. POWER BOARD. ELTHAM, Dec. 7. Two claims for compensation, amounting to about £3OOO, against tho Taranaki Electric Power Board, wore hoard in tho past two days before the Chief Justice. Compensation was claimed for drainage alterations and alleged reduction in value of lands which could not be properly cultivated or drained by reason of the erection of electrical workings, for responsibility for the risk of damage to electric work by escape of fire whilst burning off waste on the said lands, and for risk of damage by fire to loss through escape of electrical energy. This morning arrangements were made for the law points to be decided by the Full Court, and the case was adjourned sine die. 1
