Good Racing. PETER BINGEJTS GOLD CUP. WELLINGTON, December 8. There was a good attendance at the first day of the Wellington Trotting Club’s Meeting, with splendid weather and good trotting, there being some exciting finishes. The tore took £16,334, which was less than last year, but then only a one-day meeting was held, whereas a second day’s trotting will be held on Saturday. The New Zealand Trotting Gold Cup attracted a classy field and the event was won by the Christchurch horse, Air G. S. Simpson’s Peter Bingen, trained by J. J. Kennerley Christ church), with Tom Thumb second, and Holly Boy third. In the Electric Handicap, won by Messrs Grant and Winter’s Black Admiral, trained by M. B. Edwards ((’hristchurch), some splendid trotting was witnessed, rousing the spectators to enthusiasm. Onyx was second, and Prince Pointer third.
