Bates reports: The present indications are for westerly to south erly winds, strong to gale, and unsettled, squally weather. rain being probable generally, ami heavy rain in many parts, particularly in the western and southern districts, and snow on the higher levels in the south. A west erly disturbance has intensified to-day Itu the barometer is likely to ris soon.
