GREY VALLEY BRANCH. At the monthly meeting of the above on Friday, at Mawheraili, Mr W. Clayton (President), presided over a good attendance. The action of the secre-
tary in donating £l/1/- to the Inangahua A. and P. Show was endorsed on the motion of Messrs Bradley and <>. Byrne. The Secretary was instructed to" vrite to Mr .1. Murdoch re his proposals for cheap money iron) the Advances to Settlers’ Department to enable farmers to lime their lands. On the motion of Messrs Clayton ami . Doig, it was decided to send the following remit, to the West Coast Executive for discussion at its next ineetj n g : _(l) That the Grey and Inangahua. Counties be asked to supply a return of the number of ratepayers in each County, and also the population ot each County; (2) That the restriction on deer be lifted, so as to enable farmers to destroy them; (33 That the mining reservation on river Hats be lifted. , It was resolved that the been’tary write Mr C. S. Dalgleish re the Winter School for farmers, this branch being of the opinion that it should be carried out on lines similar to the school last year. i On the motion of Messrs Bradley and A. McLennan, the Secretary was instructed to write, to the Railway, Department asking for the removal ot the gate to the junction of the ReettonHukarerc road.
