A message from Detroit states that the 1 eomotive which Henry Ford believes will be the next step iu world railroad transp rtation, is ready to make trial tests over Fold Detr..it-Toledo-Trenton railroad. The loeonmtivc is the longest ever built, 117 ft, electrically driven, and developing a maximum cf 5000 horse power, sufficient to pull a train <f freight ears a mi: • a-half long at the maximum speed of 35 miles an hour. Each cf tire sixteen iixles is driven by a separate motor current obtained fmm an electrified lire. The rnb has 42 plate glass windows, Elaborate precautions against shocks have been taken.
