COMMON WELTII 'S POPULATION. SYDNEY, August 10. The Commonwealth (Statistician reports that during the year ended June 30, 1925, the Commonwealth’s population increased by 42,112 persons as a result of migration from oversea. There were 60,859 slew arrivals and 16,657 departures. Seventy-nine percent of the overseas arrivals were British whites, and sixteen per cent other white peoples. WOOL KINGS ON GOOD MARKET. — a u Si DNEY, August 10. The Graziers’ Association reports that good progress is being made with shearing. All the big sheds in the district have started early. No industrial trouble is being experienced. Owing to the high prices obtained for rab bit skins, trapping is keeping many men away from the sheds tiiis year, but uo shortage of labour is expected.
