The Pacic Australasian Freight Traffic Bureau has decided that no changes shal] be made in the freight rates between the Pacific coast ports of North America and the Antipodes. It is expected that a joint conference of the Pacific and Atlantic lines operating to New Zealand and Australia. will be held soon, with a view to establishing a satisfactory equalisation of the East, mud westbound rates. TRADE TREATY’S EFFECT. VANCOUVER, June 22. No comment is made on the proposed Canadian-Australian trade treaty, pending its passage by Parliament, although it is felt that the agreement will prove I beneficial to Vancouver limes.
