The “Times” Toronto correspondent says the Canadian Government is apparently impressed by the strength of the agitation against the adoption of a new Dominion flag. It is now announced the Government has no intention of proceeding with the proposal to prepare a design for a Canadian national flag. The committee appointed to prepare the design has been discharged. It is stated that further action has been postponed, pending a discussion in Parliament, but an opinion prevails that the proposal has been permanently dropped.
