U.S.A. FLEET Australasian Cruise (Reeeiveil June 28 at 8.20 p.m.' HONOLULU June 22. With all preparations completed the U.S.A, fleet >s awaiting the Una; word for its departure for Australia. Admiral Coantz, the commander, informed the Australian Press Association that there was now littllikelihood of any further changes tn the plans. There had been an earlier report that the proposal to send the Jag-lit Cruiser Squadron to Hobart had been cancelled, due to the inability of the vessels to make the trip and rejoin their detachment tor tn< visit to Wellington within the time available; but Admiral Coontz deni d this report, and declared that the trip to Hobart would be made. The Admiral expressed satisfaction that he was finally able to arrange, upon the request of the GovernorGeneral of New Zealand lor the Destroyer Squadrons Eleven amt Twelve to visit Dunedin and T.ytt 1ton. Admiral Coontz said: —"Alter our long rest here, we are desirous of starting the cruise. We will, after twenty-two days at sea, be ready .oi another turn ashore, and this will especially delightful, since we will then be in Australia.
