Y’esterday was the anniversary of the record flood of .1867, when the waters rose to 63 feet. The abnormal rains during the past few weeks have provided a record storage of water, assuring three years’ full supply for the city. 'i’he Wingecarribee River( at Bong, bong, has broken its banks, and low. lying land for miles is covered. Over seven inches of rain fell at Mossvale between Friday and Monday. The llawkesbury, at Richmond, rose to 48 feet above the summer level. It is now two and a half miles wide, making crossing impossible. The losses in the Windsor ditrict will be severe, especially to vegetable growers. It is estimated that, over a million cauliflowers ami cabbages were destroyed. Some bite maize crops have also been lost. Water is still rising and some streets in the town itself are flooded. The Woolondilly River dropped rapidly and the flood waters arc receding. A washaway occurred on the railway line between Lowanna and Glenreagh, near Dorrigo, when the Bellinger River overflowed. (Received June 23 at 10.23 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 23. A warning has been issued to the residents of Windsor and Richmond to prepare for another flood, as a further rush of water is coming down the llawkesbury River. Throughout the day a fleet of boats has been rescuing outlying residents, and bringing them to the two towns. Parts of Forbes are now under water. The river has risen there twentyone fei’t since yesterday. The main body of flood water is now sweeping down the river Lachlan. It is expected to reach the town to.uight.
