PARLIAMENT
Three Bills Proposed (Special to Argus.) WELLINGTON, June 23. With the customary pomp, Parliament will open on Thursday afternoon. The chief item in the day’s pro. gramme will be the speech of the Gov-ernor-General, which will be expected to give some idea of the intentions of the Government as to legislation. It is obvious, of course, that the speech will contain references to the late Mr Massey. It is gathered here that the legisla. tion in course of preparation includes the following proposals: An Arbitration Amendment Bill. A Land Laws Consolidation Bill. Au Advances to Settlers Bill.
