U.S.A. FLIGHT TO HAWAII. June 21 at 4.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON June 20. lhe Navy Department announced that a naval airplan c flight from the Pacific Coast to Hawaii will probably start on September 2nd. It has not been decided whether the start shall be made from »Sa»ii Diego or San Fran. (Received .June 21 at 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Jun c 20. In the Hight to Honolulu, Captain Stanford Moses, Commander of the Aircraft Squadrons of the Battle Fleer, will have command. The route of th 1 Hight will be patrolled by ten vessels. The battleship Arizona, the aircraft carrier ‘‘.Longley,’’ and the aircraft te’iider “Areestook” will be stationed 6<>(t miles apart between the mainland ami lhe islands for the purpose of gathering weather observations. Six destroyers will be scattered at two hundred mile intervals in the gaps between tin station ships, while two mine sweepers will patrol the route. The delay i»n selecting a starling point is due to there being considerable rivalry between San Diego and San I‘Tancisco for lhe honour.
