Evidence showed that (h'ceast'd and a companion left town early in the morning after a dance far Ashurst. The companion was pillionriding. The cycle apparently skid led and struck a Power Board pole, both riders being thrown to the ground. Tn returning a verdict of accidental death, the Coroner commented that in liis opinion, pillion-riding was a danger ous practice, though there was a diversity of opinion on the subject
