(Special to Argus.) WESTPORT, April 22. It i s undei stood that the dredger, Eileen Ward may go up to Wellington next month for the usual ovcrha'ul on the slip. In the Harbour Board days this dredge went up every year for the overhaul but since the Government took over the Harbour control the dredge goes over every two years. The General Labourers’ I’nion held their monthly meeting in the Labour Party-'s rooms on Tuesday night, and it was unanimously decided to vote the usuail donation of 10s towards the Westport Branch of the Plunkct Society-. The mover and the seconder of this motion gave great praise to the good, humane work of the Society and its nurses in saving and protect-aig the lives of infants. It yvas also decided io donate 2()s to a, Wellington appeal. A member threyv a shilling to make up a guinea for the appeal. A child of tyvo years here liais succumbed to infantile paralysis.
