BIG RATE REDUCTIONS. BERLIN, April 20. The German State Railways, defying the Versailles Treaty, announce a 20 to 35 per cent, reduction in' the freights on iron and steel going to Iho shipyards. This reduction does not apply tn foreign steel or to the Saur output. OBJECT OF REDUCTION. . (Received April 21 at 7.40 p.m.) BERLIN, April 21. Tn order further to cheapen German ship building, tho railways announce a reduction in the freights on iron and steel from Worth to the shipbuilding yards by 30 to 35 per cent.
