BOXING

A SPLENDID PROGRAMME. AT TOWN HALL TO-NIGHT. Grout interest is being tuken in the 15-round professional fight between Dick Pascoe (Greymouth)and Nelson MuKnight (Hamilton) which takes place in the Town Hall to-night. Both boys are in great condition and are fast and hard hitting boxers. Their training displays have been -watched by interested spectators, and picking the winner is no easy tusk. Some arc inclined to favour AfcKuight in view of his K.O. record, but Pascoe is a good defensive boxer. He can take a large amount, of punishment and has not yet been knocked off his feet. MuKnight carries a knock-out punch in his light hand, and the local boy will have to keep moving to dodge it. It should be one of tho best fights seen here for a long time. The three amateur bouts, McDonald v. Kiely; Mettriek v. Russ and Garvey v. Jackson will be well worth going to see. Trains to Blackball, Rewanui and Hokitika have been delayed.
