ANNUAL MEETING. The annuai meeting of the K , ami Omoto Ratepayers' was held in the Kaiala Schoolroom list evening, and was largely attended.. The President (Air J. B. Rent picsided.* The President, in reviewing the past year referred er logistically to the con sistent p.tteuda?icr of members in all kinds of weather, which, cc::..during Ihe distance some had to travel was most commendable. The Association was fortunate in having the majority of its requests dealt with satisfactorily <luring the past year, and thanks were due to the officials of the local bodies concerned for their unfailing courtcay. Thanks were also due to thc press for the reliable reports of thc Association’s fra.isaetions. During the past year three of the most valuable and energetic members of tiie Association. Alessrs Cohen, Excell, and Aledhurst had left the district. and their departure was much regretted. The vexed question of hydro-electric-ity had not yet been settled, and trie new executive would probably find plenty of matter to exercise their disputative faculties during the ensuing year. • life concluded by thanking tne members £or their mipptrrt and as- - siistance- during the past term and the Secretary (Mr W. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President. Mr J. B. Kent (re-elected); Vice- President. Mr James Blewman; Treasurer, Air AV. Hill; s.’.-retary, Mr w. Thomas: Ami; tor, Mr E. Flcteher: Committee: Messis A. Muir, J. Watson. N.MeAra. and E. Fletcher. The following new members were duly elected:— Messrs B. C. Waeher. ,T. Watson and P. Johnston.
