LEAGUE CENTRE MEETING. WAIUTA PROTEST DISMISSED. At a special meeting of the League Centro last evening, Mr J. D. Wingham presiding, an appeal was received from the Waiuta Club against the referee’s decision awarding :i disputed goal to Runanga. If was dteeided that the referee's decision be upheld, as the rule distinctly states that, the referee shall be sole judge on all matters, with the exception of touch and touch-in-goal. A vote of condolence, was passed to the widow of the late Michael Hanrahan and family in their recent bereavement. Blackball Juniors were- declared the winners of the Junior Cup. It was decided to call nominations by next Monday evening for the. “Kuock-out” Junior Cup.

A sub-committee w:as appointed to draw up rules governing the senior Challenge Cup, and its report was received and adopted, as follows:—(1) That the fixtures be arranged and played as a “knock-out'' competition for the first year: (2) and the first two games be played this week-end in Greymouth and Cobden. (3) That the .-imntry teams, Blackball and Waiuta. plnv at Cobden on Sunday, and receive m-i gate; that Waiuta receive cost of transport as far as Ngahere, this to be a first charge on the gate. (4) The two teams taking part in final game receive total net gate, equally divided between them. (5) The club holding Challenge Cup this season shall have the right to play all challenges Ou their own ground in future years. FIXTURES FOR WEEK-END. The fololwing are the fixtures for the week-end:— Senior. July 28.—Koliinoor v. Runanga at the Rec., at 3 p.m. July 29.—Blackball v. Waiuta, at Cobden, at 3 p.m. Third Grade. July 28.—Runanga v. Koliinoor, at the Rec., at 1.30 p.m. Fourth Grade. July 29. —Blackball v. Runanga, at Dunollie, at 3 p.m. Junior Grade. The fixtures for the I’osehich Cun commence next week.
