Tn the Assembly, Mr Ritchie (treasurer) delivering the Budget, said th: t the revenue of the State was estimated at £8,312,000 and the expenditure at £S,3lt>,ouo. '£herc v;:is no Intention to increase taxation, but a continuation of the 25 per cent super-taic on all incomes would be proposed. The season’s wheat crop is estimated at 32 1 million bushels : gainst 24,916,000 garnered last year.
