I AUCKLAND, October .12. j The charge against Alartha Jane ' O’Shaughnessy of having caused th-.; ; death of Elsie May Fraidcr, uy omit- ; ting to perform a legal duly, was : • day withdrawn by the Crown, the death of accused’s daughter, Mrs Inirie, hav- ' ing altered the whole aspect of the case. Mr Singer, for the accused, asserted that there was no evidence of neglect against either of the accused women, the allegation being that a doctor should hav-e been called in sooner. Air Poynton, S.M., agreed to the charge being withdrawn.
