NO BRITISH FORTIFICATIONS AT STRAITS.

(Received October 12, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 11. Under the agreement it is agreed that the British shall not fortify the Dardanelles. The Constantinople-Chataldja lines are retained by Allies pending the Peace Conference’s decision. Gallipoli will remain in the hands of the Allies, with a mixed administration, until the Conference decides who will hold it. The Turkish Government satisfactorily guarantees the protection of minorities. A mixed Commission is to control railways converging on Constantinople while Greeks occupy regions traversed by them. The Greek delegates have reserved their signature of the Mudania agreement, until they have consulted their Government. It is understood that Greece is claiming a longer evacuation period for Eastern Thrace.
