The Coal Tribunal hrs commenced ifie hearing of the claim of the colliery proprietors for a 33 1-3 per cent reduction in the hewing rate of wages, and for altered working conditions. The men's representatives strongly objected to the owners’ application being heard before the southern miners’ claims were heard. It was stated that men are willing to return to work on the terms and conditions of the award.
