‘ PILGRIMS OF THE NIGHT.” To-night Pollard’s will present an adaptation of fhe famous novel “Pass•ers By,” by E. Phillip Oppenheim, enfitled “Pilgrims of the Night,” starring Ruby de Remer and Lewis Stone. This great picture concerns a group of crooks who have for their leader an exceptionally clever thief known as the “Black Fox.” The latter presides over a fashionable gambling palace which is raided by the police, when they learn that in the possession of the crooks is a large sum of money, stolen from the French subTreasury. r ‘The Black Fox” is captured, but others escape. The loot is not recovered until an amateur det?’, tive traces down the escaped criminals, one of whom is the hunch-back Ambrose. Friday’s programme promises to bo a very strong one, when Pollard’s will present Mr and Airs Carter De Haven in “The Girl in the Taxi.’ The-J famous artists will bo remembered for their performance in “Tw?n Beds.” The 9th episode of “Hidden Danger.’ the special 2000 feet of film, depicting the Parliamentary tour of the ►South Sea Islands, and the final for the Seddon Shield, Nelson v. Buller, will be included in Friday’s programme. Next Sunday Pollard’s will show a special programme.
