HOCKEY.
GREYMOUTH ASSOCIATION FORMED. Most branches of sport in this district are fast regaining their pre-war popularity and are calling forth the old enthusiasm from their numerous mpporters. One game however, which remains to be revived in this district is hockey which, prior to the outbreak of war, ‘was nourishing. A meeting of all interested in the formation of a gent’s hockey association here, was held last evening and presided over by Mr Stan V\ hite, the convenor. A large number of suppoi’ters of the game were present and the general trend of an 'nfurmal discussion indicated that all were willing to put their best efforts nto the work of reviving the game in Greymouth. An association was form *l. Mr Gieseking promising a team from St Columba Club and Mr White providing a guarantee for a Greymouth team. It was suggested that Cobden and United Club enthusiasts be approached with a view to forming loams. A mat'-h has been rranged between the Greymouth teaifi and St Columba team, to take p!m-• on Wednesday next, providing Victoria Park is available.
