GENERAL TOWNSEND.
DISOBEYS GOVERNMENT. LONDON. July 20. Tu the House of Commons, Mr C. Harmsworth said Goner: 1 Townsend was visiting Angora (Turkey) against the wish of the Government, and in violation of a pledge he had given in writing before his passport was issued. TOWNSEND’S MISSION. LONDON, July 21. A telegram from Constantinople reports that General Townsend is discussing peace term's with Reouf Bey, president of the Angora Council of Commissaries.
