ENEMIES OF BLACKBERRIES (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 20. , At the annual meeting of the Now Zealand Forestry League, the chairman, Sir J. Wilson, emphasised the necessity for conserving forests, and he spoke of the small cost to the Government of the Department which was only £7OOO apart from £53,000 on capital account. Timber land was now bringing £5O an acre by way of royalty which showed what a valuable asset it was Sir J.
