RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

YOUNG WOMAN INJURED. j ( Per Press Associat ion.) I TE KUITI, July 20. A single woman, Gladys Howarth, aged about 34, was found, with her face badly mutilated, on the railway line near the, station at To Kuiti at 6.25 a.m. It is unknown whether she was a passenger by train, or had been crossing. Presumably she was struck by the 2 a.m. train from Wellington. She was attended to by doctors who regard her injuries as serious. The woman was a resident of Auckland and had been staying with her brother. A. F. Howarth, of Te Kuiti.
