U.S.A. MINISTER’S ESCAPE. PEKIN, July 19. M. Denby, Secretary of the United (States Navy, who is visiting China, narrowly escaped death in an aeroplane crash. An attempt will shortly be made to fly across the Pacific from S: n Francisco to Sydney, via Honolulu, Samoa, and Fiji by Major Morgan, who accompanied Raynham in the attempted Atlantic flight in 1919. Morgan will bo accompanied by Captain Haslam and a wireless operator. They hope to start the first week in October, leaving San Francisco on a Monday, and reaching Sydney the following Friday.
