The Secretary of the Tennis Association, referring to a rumour that Hawkes is to be sent direct to America to play in the Davis Cup contest, said it was highly improbable that any other player will be sent abroad to replace O’HaraWood. He saw no reason why Anderson and Patterson should not represent Australia both in the singles and the doubles. XX ertheim, who is now in America, would be available if he was required. DAVIS CUP.
