U.S.A. RAILWAY STRIKE. (Rec. July 14. 5.5 p.m.) CHICAGO, July 13. Chiefs of the six striking Railway Shop (’rails have telegraphed to President Harding, warning him that the interruptions and interferqjices with the railroad transportation will contmue to increase until an agreement is obtained, to give skilled workmen a reasonable wage, because the interrup lions are owing to the employment by the, companies of unskilled men. Ihe strikers, in their statement, declare that the employers, and not they, are responsible for (tip interruptions and for any violence, because the employe’s retuse to even listen to the strikers ’ demands. fhe railway service is seriously affected in many districts. The ( ompari-es are cancelling numerous trains to-day. They are pleading that they are unable to obtain sufficient protection.
