THE BASIC WAGE.
LOOPHOLES FOR EMPLOYEES. SYDNEY, July 7. It has been stated that the minimum wage is enforcable only for those working under awards in 1920. Regulations have been gazetted compelling £4 5/- to bo paid to all adult employees. A reduction is now obtainable by employers making application to the Arbitration Court, which deals with Unions, not individuals.
