LADIES’ MATCH. The Hokitika Ladies’ Hockey (’lub motored to Greymouth on Saturday ft* fulfill their fixture with the Mawhcra Club, and, despite the bitterly cold wind ami heavy rain: the match was duly played on the Col'den ground. Mr White was referee. The gimv resulte<] in a draw, neither side scoring, though the visitors upheld their end well, showing' they arc an improving' team. 'The Mawhera Club entertaim-d the visitors both in the afternoon and 'in the evening, when there was a dame (tendered them at the Oddfellows’ Hall which was numerously attended and I pro\ cd very enjoyable. Subsequently I the visitors left for home, voting their trip, despite the rain, a very enjoyable one, thanks to the hospitality of the Mawhera Club. REP. GAME IN CANTERBURY. (Special to “Argus”).
