FREEZING WORKS STRIKE.

FARMERS’ BOAST. (Ter Press Association.) TIMARRU, July 2. Arrangements have been made for a resumption of work at Pareora anil Smithfield freezing works on Monday after about a fortnight’s hold up by the- butchers’ strike. Free labour is to be employed, consisting mostly of farmers and their sons, who are offering in plenty. It is estimated that sufficient sheep for about three weeks’ work are available. Some farmers declare that it there is any trouble consequent on their killing, they are prepared to load the ships also. Killing will be on the team system.
