ATTEMPT TO 808 BANK. [A. and N.Z. Cable Association.] PERTH, June 29. A chemist named was charged with attempting to rob a bank at Boulder. He was. caught breakins through the wall of the strongroom. He pleaded that he got into financial difficulties and sought guidance through spiritualistic methods. The “spirit” told him to break into the bank. The jury expressed the opinion that the aceusej was insane at. the time of the offence and found him guilty, with a strong recommendation to mercy. Sentence was deferred.
