THE WEATHER.
The forecast is that the present indications arc for variable strong winds, but decreasing southerlies, giving place shortly to freshening northerlies in and southward of Cook Strait. The weather will bo cold and changeable, with scattered showers in the Fast Const districts. The barometer is unsteady in the north, and is falling soon in the jiouth.
