CAPE DUTY PUT UP. CAPE TOWN, Ju|,. 26.' » The Assembly adopted a resolution providing for a dumping duty to bring rhe price of imported goods to the level of locally produced, in cases where the sale of the imported article is likely to affect any industry in the Union. The Minister of Finance explained that the reason for the measure was the alleged undercutting of the South African Rub' ber Company by American rubber suppliers, for the purpqse of capturing the market.
