I ANOTHER SUCESSFUL YEAR. The half-yearly meeting of members of the above Cooperative Society was held on Friday evening list. 'I lie repaid a /I balance sheet were placed before the members and disclosed a very sat isfactojy slate of affairs. The sales for the half-year amounted to £l4/110 .16 -, being :.n increase of £617 17 - over the previous half-year. The amount of capital invested in the so ciety is L66<>o 12 6. After allowing for interest on capital and depreciation, the balance disposable is £1225 !!..(», which will admit of a bonus of 1/6 in the V on members’ purchases, which absorbs ChJo. To the Reserve Fund is placed £2XO 1/6, and to the Contingency Fund £3O Id/-. The membership now stands at 237, some 32 new members having joined, and eight withdrawn, during the halfyear. '.l'he election of committee was as fo‘low - s; --Vice-president, Mr ,1. Devine; trustee, Mr R. Cooper: committee, I Mr T. 11. c nrrie, Mr .1. Higson, and I Mr J. Piner.
