A Dunedin message announced the death of Lady Roberts, wife of Sir John Roberts.

Mis Webb, the mother of Air P. C. Webb, passed peacefully away last Tuesday at Wonthaggi, Victoria. Airs Webb has been ailing for some time, and P. C. Webb left New Zealand over a month ago to visit his mother, and was with her when the end came.

The West Coast friends of Air Alichael Ryan, a well-known railway official, and son of Mr AL Ryan, of Rotomanu, will regret to learn of the sudden death of his wife at Paekakariki, near Wellington, leaving four young children.

The death is recorded at Trentham Military Hospital of Air William Johnston, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. Johnston, of High Street, Greymouth. who was 26 years of age, and had been an inmate of various hospitals since his return from the front. He is survived by one brother and one sister.

The death occurred on Sunday at his residence. Hari Hari. South Westland, of Air Win. St. George, formerly on the clerical staffs of Messrs Afark Sprot and Co., and Afessrs Griffen and Smith, at Greymouth. and a son of Air W. S’ George, formerly Chief Postmaster here, and now of Dunedin. The deceased, who was about 38 years of ago. had for several months been in declining health. He saw extended service at the war. On his rturn he purchased

a farm in South Westland at Hari Hari, where he had since resided with his wife (a sister of Air Geo Perry. Atayor of Hokitika). He leaves no family, but is survived by four brothers who are: Douglas (Westport), Georgo (Christchurch), Roy (North Island', and Clarence (Southland). He also leaves one married sister. Kathleen (at Wanganui ) and four single sisters. One brother, (Clarence) is the South Island rep. Rugby half back this year. The funeral takes place at Hokitika to-day.
