I MAWHERA V. HOKITIKA. ! The Alawhera Indies team journeyed to Hokitika on Saturday and in a game on Cass Square defeated the Hokitika ladies by 3 goals to two. Tho game, although tho first of the season for the Alawhera girls, was a keenly contested one, as the scores indicate. It is rather a. pity that there is an apparent lack of interest in tho game of hockey in this district, but the Alawhera girls aro endeavouring to Keep tho game going and a little more support from the sporting public would bo very acceptable to this team.
