WESTPORT MEMORIAL.
OPENING FUNCTION. (Special to i( Argus.”) WESTPORT, June 4... The Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Gateway of Remembrance, a handsome marble structure, leading to Victoria Square, was unveiled on Saturday in the presence of 2000 people. The Mayor (Mr Menzies) delivered an address, also Colonel Mitchell, M.P., who performed the unveiling ceremony. The memorial cost £2OOO.
