1 A SENATOR’S CONDEMNATION. [A. and N. Z. Cable Association! SYDNEY, June 2. Senator Pratten speaking at Gosforl stated that fruit growers and consumers were paying a big price to bolster up the sugar industry in Queensland. Everyone connected with the industry —growers, mill owners, and labour, (were making fat profits. He urged a reasonably low price to absorb the fruit in jams and canned fruit for internal consumption.
