ASTONISHING TRAGEDY.
TRAIN CREW SUFFOCATED IN TUNNEL. (Received June 1, 10 p.m.) PARIS, June 1. An astonishing accident happened at Moriiay in a railway tunnel, on the Swiss frontier. A goods train was compelled to stop in the tunnel, and seven men, consisting of the drivers, stokers, and brakesmen, were suffocated to leatli, owing to the poor ventilation. L’he tragedy was only discovered when a n.sscnger train collided with the goods Lrain. The driver got down to see what .vas the matter, and found the whole •rew uf the goods train were dead.
