DIFFICULTY OVER FINANCE. SYDNEY, May 29. A Hospitals Association deputation asked the Chief Secretary (Air Oakes) fur financial assistance in the direction of some compulsory system. It was suggested that the Government should pay a subsidy of £ for £. A conference of hospital boards decided that in the event of any compulsory system, each district should be allowed tin' right of continuing the voluntary system if it wished.
