TRINITY COMPETITIONS.

The competitions held on Saturday proved a huge success and were patronised both in the afternoon and evening. The exhibits in writing, drawing, mapping, and sowing were largo and disclosed not only the ability of the children, but, in a measure, the careful training by the school teachers. were received from the District High School, Cobden, Blaketown, and Jlunanga. The judges in all the sections commented on the high standard <»f the work, which in every case showed a marked improvement over last year’s efforts. They all stressed the value of the competitions, which they hoped would continue to grow and be supported not only by the children, the school teachers and parents but by th? general public also.
